How We Took Their Struggling Website and Built a New Online Experience
The town The Fit Effect is in has seen dramatic growth in recent years. With this growth, they realized that an outdated website could hold back its new membership signups. Their original site was lacking in modern design elements, and it didn’t fully represent the high-quality experience their members receive in person. They wanted to create a digital space that reflected their passion for fitness while making it easier for visitors to navigate, explore their amenities, and, most importantly, sign up for memberships.

Our Key Objectives of the Website Refresh

- Highlight the 2-Week Trial Offer: The gym’s 2-week trial is a fantastic opportunity for potential members to experience what they have to offer, so we made sure this feature stood out. Through strategic placement on the homepage and call-to-action buttons, visitors can easily learn about and sign up for this trial.
- Showcase Amazing Amenities: One of the gym’s key selling points is its incredible amenities, including state-of-the-art equipment, personal training services, and a variety of classes. The new website design integrates high-quality images and videos that showcase these amenities and classes, creating an engaging and visually compelling experience for site visitors.
- Membership Sign-Up Integration: The primary goal for many visitors is to view information about and sign up for memberships. With this in mind, we designed an intuitive membership sign-up section that makes the process quick and easy. Whether visitors want to purchase a membership, explore pricing options, or redeem the 2-week trial, the new site ensures they can do it all with ease and minimal clicks.
How the Design Process Shaped a Modern and Fully Responsive Website Experience
When it comes to fitness centres, it’s important that the online experience matches the energy of the in-person one. Our design process began with understanding the gym’s core values, their target audience, and how they envisioned their website functioning.
The new design is clean, modern, and optimized for mobile devices—a critical element since many users will likely visit the site on their phones. We used bold colours from their logo, gradient backgrounds, along with sleek typography to create a look that’s both professional and approachable. Navigation is intuitive, and we placed special emphasis on making important information easy to find, including amenities, class schedules, membership pricing, and location details.
